The Elves and the Storymaker

There was once a silly Storymaker and his wife who were very poor.

The old man hadn't sold a story in years and they had nothing to eat but old story books with cheese on top.

One evening, sitting in front of this dusty old computer, the Storymaker realised that he couldn't start a new story because he didn't have a single idea in his head.

"Well, that's it!" he told his wife.
"I will never write another book."

The Elves and the Storymaker is another brilliant and seriously silly fairy tale reworked by Laurence Anholt with illustrations by Arthur Robins.

The original The Elves and the Shoemaker, a classic fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm who are among the best-known story tellers of European folktales, with works including Cinderella, The Frog Prince, Hänsel und Gretel and Snow White.

This reworked fairy tale is about a poor old man, a silly Storymaker who ran out of ideas. So in the middle of the night, there comes some little helpers to his house writing brilliant, scary, silly and fantastic story night by night.

Who are they? Would it be the Elves? Gorillas? Aliens?

Have your child to find out!

This book is recommend for child aged 5+

I Completely Know About Guinea Pigs

I have this little sister Lola.
She is small and very funny.
At the moment Lola is ...

"What ARE you doing at the moment, Lola?"
"I am being a guinea pig," says Lola
I say, "Why?"

"Because I really like guinea pigs. And maybe, if Mrs Hanson lets me, I can bring Bert, our class guinea pig, home for the school holidays."

Me and my girl love Charlie and Lola. It always allows room for imagination and craziness.

This time Lola starts her adventure in a classroom setting with a class pet named Bert
A guinea pig from Peruuuuu!!!!

Every kid in the class wants to take Bert home for the school holidays, of course including our little Lola praying hard to get picked.

I Completely Know About Guinea Pigs filled with colorful illustration and real pictures on Guinea Pig 101, great education for kids whom love pet.

This is a great book with fun and wild imagination for children between K1 to Grade 2.

Imagination is the greatest gift God have given human. It needs training and the basic one is listening to storytelling. It forms a cycle of image formation hidden in our mind without anyone's knowledge.

Albert Einstein once said, "Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited to all we now know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world, and all there ever will be to know and understand."

Bleeping Beauty

Once upon a throne sat a brand new baby Princess.

The King and Queen were so happy; they had a big party and invited the ten Good Fairies.

But they did NOT invite the Hairy Scary Fairy.

All the Good Fairies made a wish for the Princess ...

Just as the last fairy was about to make a wish, the doors burst open and a huge voice roared ...

Most would agree that fairy tales often form an integral part of our childhood. From Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs to the Sleeping Beauty, many of them you have already known by heart.

Have you ever imagined the Sleeping Beauty been reworked to a Bleeping Beauty, whom got stuck on a computer game for 100 years by the Bad Fairy?

This is a hilarious fairy tale reworked from Laurence Anholt's Seriously Silly Color series.

It is perfect for children whom are able to recognize sight words, read with phonics strategy to sound words out and confident to read slightly longer sentences.

Recommend for 5+

Pirate Jam

Jo Brown
Once upon a time, in the middle of the deep blue sea, lived a gang of pirates.
As there were only two of them, you couldn't call them a gang at all - maybe just a pair of pirates.

Their names were Fredbeard and Little Jim.
Fredbeard's friends called him Fred, and Jim wasn't little at all. (Well, he was once.)

They had a little sea dog called Patch.

My girl is very into pirate story these days after watching Jake and the Neverland Pirates on Disney Junior. So I picked up this colorful pirate book from the library last week.

Pirate Jam is about two unusual pirates named Fredbeard and Little Jim ...

They got kicked out from pirate school because they are not fierce enough, always got seasick and failed their exams.
So they decide to set up home on an island and look for a way to be useful.

In this hilarious and heart-warming story, Fredbeard and Little Jim discover a unique way to earn their pirate gold and find their place in the world.
